Sometimes dogs come into our care that we feel are not adoptable. These dogs may have serious medical complications, require very specific care, or may have behaviour traits that (once settled into a foster home) are best kept where they feel the safest. We are so grateful to our forever foster families, who do an amazing job of opening their homes to these higher needs dogs that will live out the rest of their lives in our care. We rely heavily on donations for our forever fosters as they will continually require veterinary care, food, toys, bedding, etc. Please consider making a donation towards their care.
By joining, we affirm our commitment to Ontario Association of Canine Rescues’ shared Code of Ethics and Standards of Operation—ensuring the highest level of care for dogs and fostering integrity, accountability, and trust within the rescue community.
As a member rescue, we have formally committed to ethical practices, professional development, transparent operations, high standard of care, and collaborative engagement that advance the cause of canine welfare.
